2008 Trafficking in Persons Report released
Vienna, June 4, 2008. Human trafficking turns people into slaves and sexual commodities. Millions of people are trafficked each year, most of them children and women. The U.S. government and the U.S. Mission to the UN in Vienna work hard to highlight and combat these crimes. On June 4, the U.S. Department of State released its Report on the issue.
